Bush Fire?

Trying out a new pottery studio...

We get in the car and Savannah finds a new pottery place  called "bush fire", which didn't seem as clever as other ones I have been to (ie. The pottery place, all fired up, painted clay or glazy days) but who cares about the name. Well when we get there I hysterically corrected her, it is actually: brush fire.

She chose a huge cup and coffee inspiration, while I wanted to really get artsy (lol) with my puppy scene... catching a frisbee which can be seen if you look very closely.

Happy Birthday Mr. Denton!

Since he liked our canvas painting so much we decided that this would be the perfect gift... doing it ourselves made it easy to personalize.

We went to a famous BBQ place that we saw off of "Man vs. Food"... it was quite tasty and man won.

I brought the pup with me on the journey to Knoxville so we took him to the park to play... he loves water as long as it doesn't involve a bath.

Movies in the Park

Every Wednesday during the month of June there will be movies playing at Warner Park...

There are food trucks, tons of parking, and you can take dogs! People start getting there around 4, but the movie plays at dark... make sure to pack a blanket. 

He really wanted to drive... you can't say no to a puppy.

Colorado

Memorial Day Weekend

I flew out to Colorado to visit.

Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures but they would have mostly been of a child's baseball tournament. Of course I did take pictures of one of my favorite hobbies... eating.

D Bar - an uptown Denver restaurant dedicated to dessert and drinks. We ordered a fancy banana split, molten cake brownies, flash fried blueberry pie, and vanilla bean creme brulee. No one left disappointed.

Lucile's Creole Cafe - Littleton: Known for its atmosphere and breakfast, more specifically the beignets which we had to try. It all sounded tasty so it was decided that we would share everything. Going for traditional New Orleans cuisine so shrimp and grits was a must, as well as, Eggs Sardou and Rockefeller recommended by our server. 

 Before returning to Nashville we stopped at the Denver Zoo

With one job we will have a lot more time to do the hobbies we have been wanting to get into... feeling outdoorsy?! 

Even splurged for the bike rack so that we could go to the greenway...
